Dear New Skindergade Resident,

Before leaving my room and apartment, in the midst of packing and cleaning, I wrote a letter to the future inhabitant of the room, which I thought I would share with you here:

Dear newest resident of this room,

Welcome to Copenhagen! You're gonna love it here, it's hard not to. You got the best room in the apartment, in one of the best apartments in town, so you lucked out. In just a short while, this room, these streets, and this city will feel like home. That might be hard to believe at first, but trust me. The first few days or weeks might be hard, as you over come jet-lag and culture shock, but soon enough you'll make new best friends, discover new favorite places, and fall into a routine here. While you're still getting your bearings, I recommend you go visit the Round Tower around the corner or the Church of Our Savior a short walk away and take in the beautiful view - seeing a city from above is a great way to get to know it. And once you've settled in, I suggest taking a long stroll to Nyhavn, taking your homework to Paludan or the rooftop cafe at Illum, or taking a cider to Fredericksburg park. Bring a housemate or friend along to share the moment with! And be sure to get a bike- regardless of how centrally located you are. But whatever you do, do your best to make the most of your time here. It really does fly right by. And when the time comes for you to say goodbye to this room as well, you likely won't be ready to leave either.

Best,

Cléo
